Baseball Game Preview: Hart County Raiders vs. Metcalfe County Hornets

The Hart County Raiders will head out to face off against the Metcalfe County Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hart County has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

North Hardin hit Hart County with a seven-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Raiders took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The defeat continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Austin Martin was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one triple. He has become a key player for Hart County: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-16-1 otherwise. Bryson Huff was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
