Basketball Recap: Beech Grove Comes Up Short

Beech Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 53-22 loss at the hands of the East Central Trojans. The contest marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Beech Grove lost, don't look at Mylee Boling. Despite the final result, she posted seven points and seven boards.

East Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Audrina Dugan out in front who had 15 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Natalie Stenger, who earned 14 points.

Beech Grove now has a losing record at 7-8. As for East Central, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beech Grove will challenge Monrovia at 6:00 p.m. on January 11th. As for East Central, they will square off against Rushville at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th.
