Acadiana made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Southside, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Everything went the Acadiana Rams' way against the Southside Sharks on Thursday as the Acadiana Rams made off with an 8-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Acadiana pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Southside, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Coming up, Acadiana will square off against Lafayette at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.1 runs per game this season. As for Southside, they have already played their next match, a 4-2 win against Teurlings Catholic on the 15th.
