Baseball Recap: Union Local Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

Union Local barely beat Monroe Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Jets never let the Seminoles get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 last Thursday.

Union Local is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Monroe Central, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Union Local will be playing in front of their home fans against River at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monroe Central, they will head out to square off against Barnesville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
