Soccer Game Preview: Streamwood vs. Geneva

The Streamwood Sabres are taking a road trip to square off against the Geneva Vikings at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Streamwood will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Streamwood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Crystal Lake Central get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Streamwood's winning goal came courtesy of Max Galvan.

Meanwhile, Geneva made easy work of Cary-Grove on Tuesday and carried off a 6-0 win. Considering Geneva have won ten contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Streamwood's record is now 9-10. As for Geneva, their record now sits at 16-5-2.

Streamwood came up short against Geneva in their previous matchup on October 2nd, falling 2-0. Can the Sabres avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
