Basketball Game Preview: Schroon Lake Wildcats vs. Bolton Central Eagles

The Schroon Lake Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Bolton Central Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Monday, Schroon Lake came up short against Hartford Central and fell 48-36. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Tanagers: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Bolton Central came tearing into Monday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 46.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 32-25 win over the Lakers. The 32-point effort marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Bolton Central's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Schroon Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Schroon Lake came up short against Bolton Central in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 40-33. Can Schroon Lake avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
