Recap: Trinity-Byrnes vs. Lee Academy
Trinity-Byrnes won the last time they faced Lee Academy, and things went their way on Friday, too. Trinity-Byrnes captured a comfortable 45-28 win over Lee Academy. Trinity-Byrnes' victory was all the more impressive since Lee Academy was averaging only 17.6 points allowed on the season.
The Titans started the contest off right with 31 first-half points. Lee Academy countered with 7 points, leaving the score at 31-7 going into the half. Trinity-Byrnes couldn't replicate their first half dominance, getting outscored after the break, but not by enough to lose the game.
The win (their 11th in a row) raised Trinity-Byrnes' record to 11-2. The loss dropped Lee Academy's record to 9-2.
The Titans will stay at home next week against Northwood Academy at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Titans have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency. The Cavaliers will be staying on the road, facing off against Orangeburg Prep. The Cavaliers don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
