Basketball Recap: Tupelo Takes a Loss

Tupelo played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 75-14 defeat at the hands of the Allen Mustangs. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-4.

Addison Prentice was her usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-5 from deep and almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine boards for Allen. Those nine rebounds gave Prentice a new career-high. Kaylee Davis was another key player, going 6 of 12 on her way to 15 points along with five boards and three steals.

Tupelo's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Allen, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Tupelo has already played their next contest (against Kiowa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Allen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-49 victory against Latta on the 4th.
