Basketball Recap: South Point Wins Going Away Against Greenup County

After only 25 points in their last game, South Point made sure to put some points up on the board against Greenup County on Wednesday. The South Point Pointers strolled past the Greenup County Musketeers with points to spare, taking the game 55-40. That's more bragging rights for the Pointers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

South Point has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Greenup County, they dropped their record down to 2-17 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Point won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ironton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greenup County, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Russell at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Russell will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Greenup County surely won't give up without a fight.
