Softball Recap: Thunderbird Titans vs. Paradise Honors Panthers
Thunderbird entered their game against Paradise Honors on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Titans took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Faith Olea and Brooke Casey did some serious damage despite the final result: Olea went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Casey scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That triple marked the first that Olea hit this season.
Thunderbird's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-6. As for Paradise Honors, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.
While Thunderbird had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
