Volleyball Recap: Flinthills Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Flinthills can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Little River Redskins on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2022.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19.

Harlee Randall paced Flinthills' offense, picking up 15 kills. Randall got some help from Emily Scribner and her 11 assists. Finally, Randall was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Little River was led to victory by Evie Look and Adelynne Strecker. Look had five digs and 20 assists, while Strecker had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces Strecker has posted since back in October.

Flinthills' defeat dropped their record down to 38-4. As for Little River, the win was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 38-6.

Flinthills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Clifton-Clyde on the 2nd. Little River has also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Centralia on the 2nd.
