Hesperia Christian took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Arrowhead Christian, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Patriots sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Eagles on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Hesperia Christian took Arrowhead Christian into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 21-25, 20-25, 18-16.

Nylah Easterling paced Hesperia Christian's offense, picking up 19 kills. Easterling got some help from Sadie Arango and her 14 assists. Finally, Easterling was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high ten blocks.

Hesperia Christian now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Arrowhead Christian, they moved to 7-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Hesperia Christian will square off against Academy for Academic Excellence at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Patriots their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Arrowhead Christian, they will challenge Xavier Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
