Softball Recap: Avon Park Red Devils vs. Fort Meade Miners

Avon Park managed to slip by Fort Meade the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Avon Park Red Devils came up short against the Fort Meade Miners on Thursday, falling 18-8. That makes it the first time this season the Red Devils have let down their home crowd.

Kamya Brassell led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Henderson, who scored a run and stole Four bases. while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
