Recap: Wamogo Regional Warriors vs. Somers Spartans

After a string of five wins, the Wamogo Regional Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were the victim of a rough 58-37 loss at the hands of Somers. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wamogo Regional has scored all season.

Patrick Weaving and Quinn Coffey certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Weaving dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, while Coffey scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Weaving is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played.

Wamogo Regional's defeat ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-4. As for Somers, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wamogo Regional will challenge Housatonic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Somers, they will head out on the road to face off against Rockville at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Rockville will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
