Baseball Recap: Raritan Comes Up Short

Raritan was the 3-0 winner over Freehold Township when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Rockets fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Raritan saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Melendez, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Raritan's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Freehold Township, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8.

Coming up, Raritan will square off against New Egypt at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Freehold Township, they will head out to take on Middletown South at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
