Lago Vista Gets a Boost from Arambula in 35-16 Defeat

Starting off the list is Lago Vista's Noah Arambula, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Arambula rushed for 226 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 136 rushing yards.

With the defeat, Lago Vista broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2. Arambula and Lago Vista will face off against Gonzales at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Gonzales got the W thanks in part to David Clack Iii playing the best football he has all season. Clack Iii rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

The win (which was Gonzales' third in a row) raised their record to 3-2. Clack Iii and Gonzales will head out on the road to square off against Lago Vista at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Tyler Hoffman Makes It Two for Gonzales

Keeping Clack iii company is Tyler Hoffman, a fellow Gonzales player. He rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 64 yards and a touchdown.

Hossfeld Came Up Big in Salado's 28-21 Victory

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Lincoln Hossfeld stepped things up a notch to give Salado the 'W'. Nobody could stop Hossfeld as he threw for 122 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 39 yards.

Salado's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-3. Hossfeld's next game is against Wimberley on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Cade Fenoglio Makes It Two for Salado

Another Salado player making an appearance on this list is Cade Fenoglio. He made 13 total tackles and defended a pass.
