Basketball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Dove Creek

Dove Creek extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Ralynn Hickman. The Dove Creek Bulldogs strolled past the Monticello Buckaroo with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 55-41 thanks in part to Hickman, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. The game was her seventh in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Allex Williams, who posted four points. Those four points gave her a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Monticello still got an impressive performance from Makenna Peterson, who had 13 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals.

Dove Creek's record now sits at 9-3. As for Monticello, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Dove Creek has already played their next contest, a 60-20 win against Dolores on the 25th. As for Monticello, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-42 loss against Whitehorse on the 24th.
