Basketball Game Preview: Myers Park Mustangs vs. Forest Hills Yellow Jackets + Official Tickets

The Myers Park Mustangs and the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Forest Hills took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Myers Park, who comes in off a win.

While Myers Park's victory against Independence wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs skirted past the Patriots 45-43. Those 45 points were actually the fewest the Mustangs have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Meanwhile, Forest Hills unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 53-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parkwood. While the Yellow Jackets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wolf Pack 17-5 in the first quarter.

The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Amari Melton and Nehemiah Davis. Davis had a great game and dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Meanwhile, Melton did his best for the losing side, putting up ten points.

Myers Park now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Forest Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
