Baseball Recap: Lehman's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Lehman put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past the Evander Childs Tigers 25-1. The Lions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Jason Rosado Jr and Kristion Walker made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Rosado Jr struck out 11 batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Meanwhile, Walker tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Rosado Jr scored two runs while going 1-for-3, while Walker scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Lehman got a massive performance out of Christopher Fonseca, who scored four runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayniel Linares, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with five RBI, two runs, and one double.

Lehman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .821. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

Lehman's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Evander Childs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Lehman will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
