Limon is 9-1 against Wray since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Badgers will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Limon's defense has only allowed 10.5 points per game this season, so Wray's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Limon lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Holyoke, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's contest. The Badgers claimed a resounding 55-9 victory over the Dragons. The Badgers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 27 points or more this season.
Limon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camdyn Tacha, who picked up 70 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 83 yards and one score on only seven carries. Drey Tacha was another key player, rushing for 83 yards and two TDs on only six carries.
Limon didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Holyoke to a completion percentage of just 35%. The Badgers have been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.62 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.62 in their last three games.
Limon's defense didn't let Colby Weber, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Holyoke's QB won't forget Zac Carr anytime soon given he sacked him twice.
Meanwhile, Wray was able to grind out a solid victory over Burlington on Friday, taking the game 28-18. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won eight in a row.
Wray's win came from a few key players Limon will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Austin Collins, who rushed for 83 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 113 yards and a pair of TDs. His longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards. Wray's leading receiver Aaron Tena was Collins' top target yet again, picking up 68 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 60 yards.
Wray didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Collins and Lance Buoy.
Wray's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Limon, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Limon has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 257.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Wray struggles in that department as they've been averaging 184 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Limon was dealt a bruising 42-7 loss at the hands of Wray in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Badgers, Casey Midcap (who rushed for 181 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
