Baseball Game Preview: Sylvan Hills Bears vs. Russellville Cyclones

Sylvan Hills is on a five-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Russellville is on a six-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Sylvan Hills Bears will host the Russellville Cyclones at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Sylvan Hills' win against Pulaski Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Sylvan Hills narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Pulaski Academy 3-2. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Russellville got themselves on the board against Sheridan on Monday, but Sheridan never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Yellowjackets.

Sylvan Hills skirted past Russellville 3-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2022. Will Sylvan Hills repeat their success, or does Russellville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
