Softball Recap: River Ridge/Scales Mound's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

It was a good run, but River Ridge/Scales Mound unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lena-Winslow Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-7 back in March.

River Ridge/Scales Mound saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elizabeth Rife, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

River Ridge/Scales Mound's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Lena-Winslow, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River Ridge/Scales Mound will host East Dubuque at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lena-Winslow, they will be playing at home against Forreston at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
