Johnstown-Monroe is a perfect 5-0 against Zanesville since September of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Johnnies will face off against the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Johnstown-Monroe came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Newark Catholic.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-17, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Zanesville came up short against Granville on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-7, 25-1.

Zanesville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Johnstown-Monroe, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

Everything went Johnstown-Monroe's way against Zanesville in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Johnstown-Monroe made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Johnnies since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
