John Marshall hasn't had much luck against Petersburg recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Justices will welcome the Crimson Wave at 5:30 p.m. John Marshall is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

John Marshall made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Huguenot, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Justices came out on top against the Falcons on Wednesday by a score of 15-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The win was some much needed relief for the Justices as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Oscar Carroll made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Carroll was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, Brice Johnson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Dwayne Ferrer was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

John Marshall always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .574. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Petersburg lost 18-3 to Maggie Walker on Thursday. The Crimson Wave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Petersburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for John Marshall, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
