Soccer Game Preview: Spruce Mountain vs. Richmond

The Spruce Mountain Phoenix will head out on the road to challenge the Richmond Bobcats at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Spruce Mountain has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 9.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Spruce Mountain's offense. They lost 3-0 to Monmouth Academy on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Spruce Mountain can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine soccer rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Monmouth Academy are ranked 19th).

Meanwhile, Richmond also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell just short of Oak Hill by a score of 1-0 on Monday.

Richmond's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Spruce Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11-1.
