Basketball Recap: Nehemias Almanza Key Part of a Team Effort in Knights Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shining Light Baptist Academy, Abundant Life Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They secured a 48-42 W over the Fayetteville Street Christian Patriots. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 45-19 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Abundant Life Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nehemias Almanza led the charge by going 6 for 12 on his way to 15 points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Almanza a new career-high in assists (two). Another player making a difference was Max Capote, who went 7 of 11 en route to 15 points.

Abundant Life Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory got Abundant Life Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Fayetteville Street Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Abundant Life Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fayetteville Street Christian, they will challenge Fellowship Baptist Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Fellowship Baptist Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Fayetteville Street Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
