Auburn had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Monday. They put the hurt on the Giles Spartans with a sharp 12-2 victory. Considering the Eagles have won 13 matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Auburn pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Giles, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13-1 record this season.
