Soccer Game Preview: Grantsville vs. Ben Lomond

The Grantsville Cowboys will take on the Ben Lomond Scots at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ben Lomond took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Grantsville, who comes in off a win.

Grantsville will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Morgan, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Cowboys had just enough and edged out the Trojans 4-3 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Ben Lomond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 7-1 to Ogden. While losing is never fun, Ben Lomond can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Ogden are ranked 18th).

Grantsville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those five matchups. As for Ben Lomond, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Grantsville was able to grind out a solid win over Ben Lomond in their previous meeting back in September, winning 2-0. Do the Cowboys have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Scots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
