Softball Game Preview: Warren Warriors vs. Caldwell Redskins

The Warren Warriors will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Caldwell Redskins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Warren came up short against Wheeling Park on Saturday, falling 9-1. The Warriors have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Caldwell owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over River. Considering the Redskins have won three matches by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Caldwell pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average this season. As for Warren, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Warren couldn't quite get it done against Caldwell in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 as they fell 6-2. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
