Basketball Recap: Charleston Collegiate Takes a Loss

Charleston Collegiate suffered their biggest loss since January 31, 2024 on Monday. They were outmatched by the Hilton Head Prep Dolphins and fell 58-29. The Sundevils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-19.

Courtney Campbell was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten assists for Hilton Head Prep. Campbell's evening made it 18 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Erin Cleary was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Charleston Collegiate is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6. As for Hilton Head Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Charleston Collegiate wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-16 defeat against Northwood Academy on the 28th. As for Hilton Head Prep, they will square off against Cross at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hilton Head Prep is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
