Volleyball Recap: Shadow Hills Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Shadow Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Xavier Prep Saints, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Shadow Hills was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Xavier Prep's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-12, 25-18.

Xavier Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Arianna Padilla led the charge by getting 14 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Padilla has posted over her last seven contests. Another player making a difference was Aubree Burrell, who had six digs and two aces.

Shadow Hills' loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Xavier Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season.
