Basketball Recap: Oak Harbor Comes Up Short

Oak Harbor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 62-53 to the Lake Flyers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-48 back in December of 2024.

Oak Harbor's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Lake, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.

Oak Harbor and Fostoria will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Fostoria's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches. As for Lake, they will head out on the road to square off against Otsego at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Otsego is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Lake a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
