Soccer Recap: Wilson Central Comes Up Short

Wilson Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Smyrna Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Smyrna this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in March.

Wilson Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Smyrna, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wilson Central will venture away from home to challenge Macon County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wilson Central's defense better be ready for this one: Macon County have averaged an impressive 3.3 goals per game this season. As for Smyrna, they will head out to take on LaVergne at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. LaVergne will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each game than the last.
