Wingate gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Northwest Falcons with a sharp 21-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won five in a row.

Looking ahead, Wingate will square off against Navajo Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give Wingate their first taste of in-conference action this season. Northwest has already played their next game (against Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
