Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Takes a Loss

Faith Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Appalachian Christian School Trailblazers.

When it comes to explaining why Faith Christian lost, don't look at Matthew Burton. Despite the final result, he on his way to 32 points along with five boards and three steals. Burton is becoming a predictor of Faith Christian's success: when he posts at least 25 points the team is 2-1 (and 10-11 when he doesn't).

Appalachian Christian School got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jonathan Vazquez out in front who posted 13 points. Russell Bryant was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.
