Baseball Recap: Wootton Comes Up Short

Wootton couldn't beat Poolesville on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Patriots took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The matchup marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Wootton has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Poolesville, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Wootton will take on Rockville at 3:45 p.m. on April 8. The Patriots will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. As for Poolesville, they will welcome Whitman at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
