Baseball Recap: Marysville Falls Short of Woodland in the Playoffs

Marysville and Woodland squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Marysville had to settle for second. They fell 4-0 to the Wolves. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Indians' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Marysville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karter Ellyson, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Marysville's defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-19-1. As for Woodland, their record now sits at 22-8.

Marysville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodland, they will face off against Linden at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight.
