Soccer Recap: Zimmerman Comes Up Short

After flying high against Princeton on Monday, Zimmerman came back down to earth. The Thunder lost 4-1 to the Cambridge-Isanti Bluejackets on Thursday. Zimmerman were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cambridge-Isanti apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Zimmerman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Cambridge-Isanti, they moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Zimmerman will venture away from home to take on Duluth East at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cambridge-Isanti, they will head out to face off against North Branch at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
