Soccer Recap: Upper Perkiomen Takes a Loss

If Upper Perkiomen was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Pottstown last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians came up short against the Phoenixville Phantoms on Monday, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Upper Perkiomen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while Phoenixville are ranked 75th).

Upper Perkiomen's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Phoenixville, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Upper Perkiomen is set to square off against their familiar foe Spring-Ford at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Phoenixville will face off against rival Boyertown at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
