Recap: Coleville Wolves vs. Pyramid Lake Lakers
This season hasn't been kind to the Coleville Wolves, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. 2024 welcomed they with a 73-49 loss courtesy of Pyramid Lake on Friday. Coleville lost against Pyramid Lake in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 51-50 score last time.
Rylen Patrick went supernova for Pyramid Lake, going 8 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and 6 assists. Patrick set a new season high mark in steals with three. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Hall, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and seven assists.
Coleville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Pyramid Lake, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
Coleville won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Virginia City at 5:30 p.m. on January 6th. Virginia City has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 513 points over their last seven games. As for Pyramid Lake, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Excel Christian at 6:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Excel Christian is ranked 77th, while Pyramid Lake is ranked 69th).
