Basketball Recap: Centerville Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Centerville won the last time they faced Beavercreek and things went their way on Saturday too. The Centerville Elks came out on top against the Beavercreek Beavers by a score of 66-59. Given the Elks' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Beavers are ranked 280th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Centerville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Beavercreek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centerville will face off against St. Ignatius at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Beavercreek, they will head out to take on Springfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
