Softball Game Preview: Watauga Pioneers vs. Hibriten Panthers

The Watauga Pioneers will head out to face off against the Hibriten Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Watauga is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Watauga fell victim to Alexander Central and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Hibriten didn't have quite enough to beat Ashe County on Tuesday and fell 5-4.

Hibriten's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6. As for Watauga, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Watauga came up short against Hibriten when the teams last played back in March, falling 7-4. Can the Pioneers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
