Basketball Recap: Joel Hunt's Big Game Can't Quite Lead KIPP Bold City over ED White

KIPP Bold City has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 52-45 to the ED White Commanders on Thursday. The Greyhounds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Commanders earlier this season, when they won 80-68.

KIPP Bold City lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Joel Hunt, who posted 13 points. Hunt has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 16 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Mikell Reddick, who had eight points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

KIPP Bold City's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for ED White, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-10.

KIPP Bold City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 81-39 defeat against Christ's Church Academy on the 24th. ED White has also already played their next contest (against Ribault), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
