The Stratford Knights will take on the Lucy Beckham Bengals at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Stratford's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Lucy Beckham has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
While Stratford didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Wando on Friday as Stratford made off with a 12-6 win. Considering the Knights have won four games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jachin Davis was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Stratford's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-2-2 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Walter Argrett, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Davis wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Stratford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, while Lucy Beckham put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Berkeley. Lucy Beckham skirted past Berkeley 2-0.
Lucy Beckham also got a great performance from Sam Dielmann as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Riles Morris, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.
Stratford has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. The win got Lucy Beckham back to even at 5-5.
Lucy Beckham's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Stratford hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .360. It's a different story for Lucy Beckham, though, as they've only averaged .256. Will they be able to contain Stratford's hitters?
Stratford took their victory against Lucy Beckham when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-3. Will Stratford repeat their success, or does Lucy Beckham has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
