Basketball Game Preview: Otsego Knights vs. Swanton Bulldogs

Otsego and Swanton are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Otsego Knights will head out on the road to take on the Swanton Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Otsego sitting on four straight wins and Swanton on three.

If Otsego beats Swanton with 76 points on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Otsego enjoyed a cozy 76-62 victory over Lake on Friday.

While Swanton didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They strolled past Stryker with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 52-36. That 16 point margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Otsego pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Swanton, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Otsego against Swanton in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 72-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Otsego since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
