Lincoln-Way West barely beat Oswego East the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors blew past the Wolves 12-6 on Saturday. Considering the Warriors have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Conor Essenburg, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Carson Paulas was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Lincoln-Way West is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Oswego East, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-19.

Coming up, Lincoln-Way West will face off against Plainfield North at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Oswego East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
