Basketball Game Preview: Boulder City Eagles vs. High Tech SD Storm

The Boulder City Eagles and the High Tech SD Storm, after both having extra time off, will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Boulder City saw some tournament action last Saturday. They fell 39-34 to Southeast Career Tech. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Boulder City's defeat came about despite a quality game from Makenzie Martorano, who posted 13 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Martorano has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last six times she's played. Lauren Mueller was another key player, putting up four points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, High Tech SD came up short against Central last Saturday, falling 41-21. The game marked the Storm's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Boulder City will have to keep a close watch on Arianna Feliz and Poema Strong, a pair of players who had a big impact on High Tech SD's prior game. Feliz earned nine points, while Strong scored eight points.

Boulder City's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for High Tech SD, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
