Mooresville lost to Hickory Ridge back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Blue Devils walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Ragin' Bulls. While the Blue Devils didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The win didn't come easy: Hickory Ridge scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22, 19-25, 25-22.

Gia Lowe paced Mooresville's offense, picking up 16 kills. Lowe got some help from Siena DiTomas and her 16 assists. Lowe was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Mooresville and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Hickory Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mooresville will host Hough at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hickory Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hopewell at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Ragin' Bulls are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
