Basketball Recap: Forge Christian Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win + How To Watch

Forge Christian put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Montrose Red Hawks 61-41. Given the Fury's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Red Hawks are ranked 97th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Forge Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Levi Clark, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 16 points and three steals. Clark's morning made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Treysen Eye, who shot 50% from the field en route to 13 points and four steals.

Despite the defeat, Montrose had strong showings from Cache Oberg, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 13 points in addition to eight rebounds and four blocks, and Lane Pressler, who posted ten points. Oberg is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played.

Forge Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Montrose, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Forge Christian and SkyView Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Montrose will take on Pagosa Springs in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
