Soccer Game Preview: Westview vs. Millard South

The Westview Wolverines are taking a road trip to square off against the Millard South Patriots at 5:30 a.m. on Friday. Westview is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Westview is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Saturday, they were much more limited against Roncalli Catholic on Thursday. They came up short against the Crimson Pride, falling 4-0. The contest was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Westview it sure didn't stay that way.

Meanwhile, while the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Bellevue West who was credited with the victory on Tuesday. Bellevue West got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Millard South's one. Millard South have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Angel Jimenez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Millard South's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Westview, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Westview suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Millard South when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Westview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
